Webinar: The Top Issues with CIP-002-5.1 and What You Can Do About Them

Wednesday, May 20, 2015
10:00am - 11:00am PT / 1:00pm - 2:00pm ET

NERC entities have many questions regarding interpretation of the requirements and definitions of NERC CIP Version 5.  NERC has provided some guidance on some of these questions, but in very few cases can that guidance be said to be definitive. For the remaining issues, NERC entities need to research whatever guidance is available, but in the end it is up to each entity to determine and document how it will address each issue.

To help you understand some of the major issues in CIP Version 5 and the ways they can be addressed, EnergySec is pleased to present two webinars, on May 20 and June 18.  In each webinar, three well-known specialists on CIP Version 5, Steve Parker and Karl Perman of EnergySec and Tom Alrich of Deloitte & Touche LLP, will identify certain major issues with CIP v5 and provide recommendations on how NERC entities can address each one.

This webinar will address questions related to CIP-002-5.1 only. The issues related to CIP-003-5 thru CIP-011-1 will be addressed in the June 18 webinar.

If you would like to see a particular question discussed in one of the webinars, please email Karl Perman and karl@energysec.org.  While we won’t be able to discuss all questions in the two webinars, we will attempt to at least do so in a follow-up document for people who have registered.
